christmas program
From 6 December 2024 to 6 January 2025
Several Brindisi organizations present a rich and qualified calendar of Christmas initiatives in the historic centre of the city, at the ex-monastry Scuole Pie.
The program is called "L'inverno errante - walking between taste and art"
Location: Scuole Pie -Via Giovanni Tarantini 35.
Attention: 2 events will depart from piazza Vittoria.
Friday 6 December, at 5:30 and 7:00 pm musical-theatrical show “Il Canto di Natale" (a Christmas Carol), opera by Charles Dickens in Jazz style with live accordion and piano music with singing voice. By Tony Bottazzo and Francesco Sciascia, AttoTerzo Theatre Company. Free admission.
On several days: For the little ones there will be a meeting with Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and the helper Elf on 7-12-13-21 December, always from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. And a meeting with the Befana-witch, in the morning from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on 6 January. Free admission.
Saturday 7 December, 7:30 pm: “Secca d'acqua concert", a concert by Vincenzo Maggiore and Giancarlo Pagliara, voice and piano, bringing to light a new work of unreleased songs and musical quotes inspired by the maritime tradition. Free admission.
Sunday 8 December, 6 PM, Workshop "Dolce come il miele" (sweet like honey). Preparation, tasting and market of local food products.
Saturday, December 14 , 5 PM, Workshop Christmas cookies specially for kids. Free admission.

Sunday 15 December, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm “Peregrinando a suon di Zampogne”, a musical walk in the historic centre. Free admission.
Friday 20 December, 5:30 pm: Community Tombola, an opportunity for fun and conviviality.
Saturday 21 December, 7:00 pm: traditional songs and dances, with the group “Addu Sciamu Sciamu” Casa di Quartiere San Bao.
Sunday 22 December
- 10:00 am: watch the Christmas bike ride, starting from Piazza Vittoria. Everyone on bikes wearing Christmas clothes, hats and Santa Claus clothes, themed sweaters.
- 7:30 pm: concert “Intra allu core te la terra stae”, this musical show is an initiative in collaboration with guitarist Enrico Caiffa and singer Eugenia Marzano. Free admission.
Monday 6 January, at 10:15 am: By bike we reach the Befana witch (sweet for children), starting from Piazza Vittoria. Everyone on a bike wearing something fun to reach the Befana at the Cloister of the former Convent of the Scuole Pie.

Saturday November 23
Not many people who visit Brindisi know this, but in the suburb of Paradiso you will be amazed by the amazing street art. Many of these special murals can be seen at Via Egnazia. If you are looking for something fun to do on Saturday, November 23, join this tour that also takes care of the inner man. It starts at 10.30 AM in the bar at Via Egnazia 35. The coffee will be ready!
Transfoming urban spaces
It will be a special day to discover how this neighborhood is changing thanks to the urban renewal project promoted by Arca Nord Salento and the collective ImmaginAbile, who together with Pa.St.A (Paradiso Street Art) create new murals to transform urban spaces.
Lovely tour and Pasta Paradiso
After having a coffee together, we will leave for a tour that will take us to the murals that are located in the neighborhood. At the end we will meet for a community lunch organized by Caponata on the road, a traveling kitchen that, with a passion for good food and sharing, brings the taste of traditions with a touch of creativity. Our philosophy is simple: to bring together people, dishes and stories in an atmosphere of exchange and conviviality. For the occasion, Caponata on the road will offer "Pasta Paradiso", a recipe specially developed to celebrate this day and the neighborhood that hosts us.

cycling tour along vineyards including visit to winery
Sunday 24 November
This beautiful tour of about 50 km starts in Brindisi. The route mainly goes along quiet roads with some stretches of road with natural surfaces.
Along the way there will be a stop for a visit to the Carvinea winery, where the cyclists, accompanied by Beppe di Maria, owner of the company, and the sommelier Marina Roma, will walk you through the vineyards and then you can taste the wines. The wines are among the best in Apulian wine production and are the result of the perfect combination of tradition and innovation, from Ottavianello vines. There are three varieties to taste: red, rosé and classic sparkling wine, of course accompanied by typical delicacies of the Apulian tradition.
Start: Brindisi at the Scalinata Virgilio, departure at 9 AM
Participation fee: euro 25 per person, to be paid at the start
