the area of monticelli beach
public beaches - no or few facilities
Monticelli is a beach characterized by fine sand, bathed by a sea that changes from light blue to blue, crystalline and clear, with a seabed gently sloping towards the sea.
It is a public beach without facilities.
In addition to the beach that bears the name, you can also choose from a few small bays next to it. You can reach them by walking a bit along the coast on sand/rock paths. To the south, towards Marina di Ostuni, you will find Spiaggia dei Capperi and Cala Diana Marina. From Monticelli towards the North you will find the beautiful Spiaggia Quarto di Monte. This is a secluded, sandy beach in a small bay, backed by scrub-covered dunes & sheltered by rocky outcrops.
Spiaggia Quarto di Monte
Further on Spiaggia del Molo di Rosa Marina can be found at the place where a small river flows from the interior into the sea. Here in summer season you can sometimes rent sunbeds and umbrella's and there's a restaurant.
